The Best Product to Clean White Marble
- Wet the marble surface with a small amount of water. Apply a thin layer of neutral pH cleanser to the stain, and lightly rub it in with your hands. Let the cleanser sit for five minutes, then add a small amount of water. Blot the water away from the marble, adding more water until you have removed all the cleanser.
- For persistent stains, mix a few drops of ammonia into 1 liter of water. Apply the mixture to the marble, and lightly rub with a damp sponge. Rinse away the ammonia with a small amount of water.
- Abrasive cleaners that contain harsh chemicals aren't recommended for marble. These products create a problem known as etching, the permanent dissolving of some of the top layer of the marble.
