Ami has opened her shimmering doors to three of South Africa's finest performers for an electrifying spell.  Under the masterful direction of Lionel Newton (Jozi, The Wellbeing, Rivonia Trial), Michelle Botha,(*Naledi Award Nomination*) Dries Botha and Pieter Bosch Botha have joined forces to create a brand new fiendishly funky cabaret.

Starting on the evening of 24th February, shows on Thursday, Friday&Saturdays - calling the curtains on 19th of March. Ami offers a delightfully thrillish set menu to accompany your taste buds through such magnificence!

The style of the restaurant is contemporary with French touches, dishes with recette de cuisine on the restaurant menu that combines South African cuisine, French cuisine and Traditional cuisine.

The beauty of the delightful ambience is that the flowers are so much more present. It's a joy to bite into a piece of meat that has been slowly cooking in red wine. It's so much more than just dinner; it's a very social and fun way to have dinner. You have more time for interaction and talk as your meats are cooking.

While engulfed by the coziness of French antiques, family treasures, you can select from a menu created by master chef Dean and served in the traditional French style.

Whether dining inside or outside, you will be in for a memorable dining experience.

It's a perfect date dining experience, gets families to talk more around the table, but best of all, it's a very healthy way to eat.

Musicians, Artists, film makers – We don't tell them what and how to make their art, and it seems presumptuous to tell a chef what he can do best on a particular night.

Our staff will be happy to tell you the specialities that our chef has chosen for your unforgettable dinner.

A very appropriate welcome for you could be Paw Paw and Chicken Parsels accompanied with spiced olive oil and meet or Blue Cheese and peer spring rolls and if you love the meat you must try the Springbok Carpaccio  with aubergine, mushroom roasted, sweet balsamic souce and wild raspberry.

For the main course, the most traditional dish is Maroccan Lamb Shank with coriander - mash spring rolls and roasted mushroom.

For dessert, another simplicity, a perfect finisher could be a White Chocolate Cheese Cake, Lavender Creme Brule or Chocolate Spring Rolls with fresh raspberries, strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

Ami Champagne Bar offers one of the most comprehensive Wine and Champagne Lists in one of the finest settings of any restaurant in Johannesburg, with sparkling wine, MMC and both expensive and well-priced champagnes on the list and also have a selection of 25 different tequilas. With the help of Liquid Chefs and Martini provide an exotic range of delectable Martinis and cocktails.

Be teased, flattened and whipped away whilst you take pleasure in an ingenious meal, swooped and spelled by our gracious chef. Come feast in laughter, tears, music, sit back and be speckled with lively liaisons, political blasphemy, comical fervour, passionate parade's, secular sex, explosive sorrow, exhilaration and anything else the mortal sentiment can allow itself to be provoked and enhanced by, but keeping it all very shipshape and seriously decadent indeed.
