    • 1). Use a measuring tape to space the holes you need and place them according to the project you are completing.

    • 2). Mark an X over spots to drill, using a china marker. If you are hanging shelves or caddies, use a level to make sure the hole marks are placed correctly. If the holes are not level, re-measure and mark them again until they are level.

    • 3). Insert a 11/64-inch drill bit (preferrably carbide- or diamond-tipped) into a power hand drill and tighten with a chuck.

    • 4). Wear protective safety glasses and place the point of the drill bit into the center of each X. Depress the drill's trigger to start drill through the fiberglass. Keep the drill straight as you drill through to avoid angled holes and torn edges.
