How to Do a Footnote in PowerPoint 2000
- 1). Launch the PowerPoint 2000 program and open an existing presentation you want to add the footnote by clicking the "File" tab and selecting the "Open" option in the drop-down menu. Browse for your PowerPoint project, select it and click "OK" to open.
- 2). Scroll down until you reach the slide to which you want to add the footnote. If you are adding the same footnote to all the slides, you do not need to scroll down to a particular slide.
- 3). Click on the "View" tab on the top toolbar and select the "Header and Footer" option.
- 4). Click on the "Slide" tab when the "Header and Footer" window pops up. If the "Footer" is not already checked, place a checkmark in the box.
- 5). Type your footnote into the line underneath the "Footer" section. After you are finished typing your footnote, click the "Apply" button to apply the footnote to the slide you are working on. If you want to apply the footnote to all the slides, click the "Apply to All" button.
