With all they hype surrounding antibiotic treatments, medications, acne creams, natural and voodoo acne cures, one can't help to think that curing acne is a complicated affair.
That is what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to think.
The truth is there is an amazingly simple way to cure acne, and cure it for good! All you need to do is to wash, tone and moisturize your face twice a day.
There is a catch to this though.
You have to select the right facial wash, toner and moisturizer.
Once you found the right ones for you, you will be on your way to a lifetime of acne-free skin! Face Wash: This is one of the most important step in curing acne, regardless of whether you plan to tone of moisturize your face or not.
Getting rid of dirt and bacteria on your face on a regular basis is very important.
As a rule of thumb, never ever wash your face with soap, especially if you are suffering from a serious acne problem.
Get a gentle facial wash.
Look out for words like 'oil-free' and 'soap-free'.
It is important to use a couple of facial wash to find one that works best for you.
Toner: Using a toner is also another important step.
You may be tempted to skip this step after washing your face, but let me just say that using the right toner will make al the difference in the world.
Firstly, the toner further removes dirt and impurities from the skin.
They also add water-binding agents to your skin to help it absorb the moisturizer better.
Sufferers from acne should get an alcohol-free toner.
Alcohol dries up the skin and that may lead to the production of extra sebum, which may cause the growth of more acne.
A fragrance-free, alcohol-free witch hazel toner works very well for acne prone skin.
Moisturizer:This is the last step to your facial regime.
This may sound strange, but I strongly advice against using a moisturizer that is specifically made for curing acne.
Although they will get rid of pimples, they often leave your skin all dried up and sometimes even leave behind an uneven complexion.
Look out for a light, 'oil-free' and 'non-comedogenic' moisturizer.
Vitamin facial creams are very effective for curing pimples.
Vitamin A, C and E creams will not only get rid of pimples but will give your skin a clearer and healthier complexion.
When buying moisturizers do get creams that are designed for your face and not your body.
