    • 1). Construct a 20-inch-by-10-inch-by-10-inch breeding box. Cut three 20-inch-by-10-inch plywood sheets, which will be used for the top, bottom and back of the box. Cut two 10-inch-by-10-inch plywood sheets for the sides and cut a 4-inch-by-18-inch plywood sheet for the front rail. Use a table saw and wood blade.

    • 2). Lay the bottom piece horizontally on a flat surface. Place the side pieces vertically on the edges of the bottom piece. Glue the bottom ends of the side pieces to the edges of the bottom piece using wood glue. Let the glue dry for one hour.

    • 3). Position the back piece vertically on the edge of the bottom piece. Glue the bottom end of the back piece to the edge of the bottom piece using wood glue. Let the glue dry for one hour.

    • 4). Pour wood glue on the top edges of the back and side pieces. Put the top piece horizontally over the top edges. Let the glue dry for one hour.

    • 5). Strike wood nails through the top and bottom pieces into the back and side pieces. Pound three nails through both the top and bottom pieces into the side pieces using the hammer. Insert four nails through the top and bottom pieces into the back piece.

    • 6). Place the front rail vertically on the front edge of the breeding box. Insert four nails through the top of the front rail into the bottom piece.

    • 7). Fill the nest with wood chips or twigs.
