Updating Windows XP From a Software Update CD

• 1). Contact Microsoft support at 1-800-MICROSOFT and request the latest version of Windows XP. This can be mailed to you.
  
  
• 2). When the CD is put in the CD drive, the program will start automatically.
  
  
• 3). Follow the steps on the screen to enter owner information. The program will also ask where you would like the update files saved. The file menu will automatically open when you reach that step. Select the folder or other location where you would like to save the files and click OK. It is recommended that you save it on your C drive (C:/) and in the Windows XP folder located within the Program Files folder. After completing all of the steps, the update will automatically complete and the Windows XP software will close.
