Rustic Romance Cottage in Genoa NV
I just recently rented this cute little guest cottage nestled at the bottom of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, near Lake Tahoe, CA.
It's located in the town of Genoa, NV.
, just a few miles away from Stateline, NV.
, home of Harrah's, Harvey's, The Horizon and Mont Bleu casinos.
It's also near Heavenly Valley and Kirkwood ski resorts, home of some of the finest skiing conditions in North America.
Lake Tahoe is also renowned for it's crystal clear mountain water and refreshing crisp air, making the surroundings suitable for boating, sailing, camping and fishing.
The tiny little town of Genoa NV boasts the oldest bar in the state and just about 1 mile away is Wally's Hot Springs, a natural hot spring resort with many warm pools of spring water heated by mother earth.

with a normal population of approximately 250, is home of the Candy Dance celebration, an event held every year on the last weekend of September, which combines a street faire, candy sales, and street dance.
This tiny rural town, known for it's friendly charm and wonderful climate turns into a thriving street faire metropolis with a combined population of nearly 70,000 for the two days.
This little cottage in Genoa NV provided me a quiet, serene atmosphere for a quiet weekend getaway.
I could definitely see where it would also be nice for a wedding or very intimate gathering of friends.
The owner told me she could arrange everything from a bottle of wine to a full blown catered wedding, consisting of seating, music, photographers, food, a minister, flowers and beverages.
The unit itself consisted of approximately 400 square feet with a full kitchen, studio type bedding arrangement looking through french doors, and a bathroom.
A few of the amenities I noticed it included was a refrigerator, microwave, stove, BBQ, heated flooring, sheepskin rugs, queen sized sleigh bed, CD player, cable TV with all premium channels, built in DVD player, guest robes and much more.
