    • 1). Look through the old calendar and select a photo that you would like to put on the front of the box. Cut this image down to a rectangle of 6.3 inches by 5.7 inches (or 16 centimeters by 14.5 centimeters).

    • 2). Cut a piece of white card stock with scissors into a slightly smaller rectangle that is 6 inches by 5.4 inches.

    • 3). Lay the piece of calendar paper in front of you with the photo side down. Turn it so that the shorter side is closest to you. Draw a horizontal line 1 centimeter from the edge of this side. Repeat this with the other shorter side.

    • 4). Draw a vertical line 1 centimeter away from the edge of one of the longer sides. Repeat with the other longer side.

    • 5). Fold the smaller sides inwards along the two vertical lines that you drew. Make a tight crease. Unfold them. Fold the longer sides inwards along the lines that you drew. Unfold them.

    • 6). Cut each vertical line 1 centimeter at the top right, top left, lower right and lower left corners of the piece. Essentially you'll be cutting each vertical line away from the edge of the paper until it intersects with the horizontal line, 1 centimeter inwards. You now have four flaps.

    • 7). Fold each flap up and flat against the paper. Unfold them. Fold all the other longer creased sides. Unfold them.

    • 8). Fold the left side of the piece upwards, making a 1 centimeter high wall. Fold the bottom end of the piece upwards. Tuck the lower left flap inwards against the bottom end of the piece. Place a piece of double-sided tape on one side of this flap and stick it against the inside of the bottom end.

    • 9). Fold the right side of the piece upwards, making a 1 centimeter high wall. Tuck the lower right flap inwards against the bottom end of the piece. Place a piece of double-sided adhesive tape to one side of the flap and stick it against this lower side to hold it in place.

Fold the top side of the piece upwards. Tuck the upper left flap inside, resting against this top piece. Put a piece of double-sided tape against one side of this flap, pressing it against the top side. Tuck the right flap inside and place a piece of double-sided tape against it, pressing it onto the inner portion of the top side of the piece. This becomes the top of CD gift box.

Repeat this entire process with the white card stock. The white card stock becomes the bottom of your CD gift box. Use the top you created from the old calendar as the top; it should slide nicely over the card stock bottom.
