How to Lock Cell Graphs on Excel for a Mac
- 1). Launch Excel for Mac and open the spreadsheet that contains the cell that you want to lock. Note that all cells in Excel spreadsheets are locked, but may be edited until the worksheet is protected.
- 2). Click the “Review” tab and locate the “Protection” section. Click the “Sheet” icon, which will launch a separate dialogue window.
- 3). Type a password, if desired, into the “Password” and “Verify” fields. Note that a password is not necessary to protect the sheet and lock the cells. If you do not wish to use a password, leave the fields blank. Click the worksheet elements you want to allow users to be able to edit, if any, in the “Allow” list, for example “Sort” or “Filter.” Click the “OK” button.
