Bed

• There are two types of beds you can choose from. A divan--mattress upon a matching base or platform--or a bedstead--bed frame with mattress.
  
  

Dresser

• Even if you have a closet, you will probably need the additional storage offered by a dresser. Get a dresser in a complete bedroom set sold at one price or choose your own pieces.
  
  

Tables

• Unless you choose to place your table lamp and alarm clock on top of your dresser, you might want a nightstand or bedside table.
  
  

Armoire

• Armoires can help with the overall look of a bedroom as well as provide storage. Options include a jewelry armoire, an entertainment armoire or a clothing armoire.
  
  

Seating

• If you have the space, add a comfortable chair or chaise lounge. A bench along the end of the bed would work well also. Choose one with storage underneath, so you have a place to put extra blankets.
