Making Decorative Flags or Banners
- 1). Cut a piece of paper 4 by 2 inches to make a flag. Color both sides of it to resemble the flag you're depicting. Refer to a database to make sure you depict the flag correctly.
- 2). Glue the left side of the flag to a large Popsicle stick. Use the flag at parades, at parties or as home decorations.
- 3). Cut a 6-foot sheet from a large roll of banner paper. The banner should be large to allow people to read it from far away.
- 4). Orient the paper landscape-wise on a flat surface in front of you. Write your message across the center of the banner using paint or markers. Take up as much space on the banner as you can, making the letters large so that people can easily read the message.
- 5). Tape the banner to a flat surface by its corners to use it as a stationary sign. Have one person hold the left side of banner and another person hold its right to display the banner in motion.
