    • 1). Purchase the store brand white popping corn at your favorite grocery store. Usually in about a one pound bag.
      Make sure the pan you are going to use is aluminum and clean and that you have the lid for it.

    • 2). Put enough vegetable oil in the bottom of the pan to cover the bottom about 1/3 inch. Before you turn on the heat under the pan (use a small burner on your stove), put 4-5 kernels in the oil with perhaps a bit of salt.
      Turn on the heat to medium or a bit higher. That small amount of oil will heat quickly, the kernels in the oil will start to sizzle. Leave the lid on, and in avery short amount of time, the kernels will pop (count so you don't take the lid off before all have popped!). When all the first kernels have popped, dump in about 1/3 of a cup of the popping corn and put the lid on.
      Shake the pan a little bit to get all the kernels oiled up.

    • 3). In about 3-4 minutes almost all the kernels will have popped. Shake the pan to make the un-popped ones drop to the bottom of the pan. It will not be very long before all popping will stop. Turn OFF the heat!!
      Except for dumping the popped corn into a bowl, you are done.
      BE VERY CAREFUL as the pan will be very H O T !!
