How to Use a BlackBerry 8700g
- 1). Insert your SIM card into your BlackBerry by first pressing the battery cover release button and sliding the cover off with your fingers. Slide the door inside open toward its hinges. Align the SIM card with the shape of the compartment and insert the card receptors facing down. Close the SIM card cover door, and insert the battery on top of it. Slide the battery cover onto the back of the phone.
- 2). Charge your BlackBerry battery by connecting the smaller end of the travel charger to the USB port. Plug the other end of the charger into a wall outlet. The BlackBerry will show an all-yellow battery symbol when the battery has completely charged. Remove the charger cord and press the "Power" key to turn on the phone.
- 3). Make a call by either typing in a number or typing or highlighting a contact person's name or phone number. Press the "Send Call" key. End the call by pushing the "End Call" key.
- 4). Send a text message by highlighting the "Compose SMS" icon while on the main menu and clicking the trackwheel. Click on a contact, and then click "SMS." If the person you are sending the text to is not in your contact list, click "Use Once," click "SMS," then type in a phone number including country and area code. Click the trackwheel and then "Continue." Next scroll to the message area using the trackwheel and type your message. When you're ready to send the message, click the trackwheel once, and then click "Send."
