The fragrant herb, Salvia sclarea, or clary sage, presents a refreshing, crisp herbaceous scent that blends well with balsam, cedar, fir, lemongrass or thyme. Mix 20 drops of clary sage essential oil with 1/2 ounce of pumpkin seed oil. Apply to insect bites or as a scalp massage to rid the hair of head lice. Clear skin eruptions with natural essential oils. Pungent and fragrant Commiphora myrrh, or myrrh, has anti-infectious and anti-inflammatory properties. When combined with corriander essential oil and honey, myrrh is helpful in healing and controlling herpes outbreaks. Mix 6 drops myrrh, 6 drops corriander essential oil and 1 ounce of honey and dab on blisters. The mixture is also beneficial for treating deep skin wrinkles and scars. - 5).
