What is Manifesting or Deliberate Creation?

Manifesting and deliberate creation are buzz words that people use when discussing law of attraction, but what do they mean? Are they essentially synonymous? This email will quickly explain them to you and allow you to better understand LOA and the people talking about it.

For the most part, people use manifesting and deliberate creation interchangeably. Some people make nuanced differences between these and other terms, but the differences aren't all that important unless you'd like to better understand a specific teacher's specific teachings. Though, sometimes, a distinction is implicitly made that manifesting always happens with or without your control and deliberate creation is when you purposely manifest things in your life.

So, for the most part, both of these terms refer to law of attraction as a whole process. By either of them, most teachers mean something like being able to take desires and make them into reality through alignment with the universe. It's the process of having a desire, aligning thought, emotion, and action, and retaining this level of faith and determination until it's accomplished. And once you master law of attraction, manifesting what you want will be a cinch and so will deliberately creating the life you want.

I should point out, however, that most teachers of the law would tell you that alignment is mostly alignment of feeling and thought, but I'd implore you to remember that though this may be the case, your actions are also of the utmost importance. Just make sure that you don't lose sight of the important part of their message: you don't have to do everything. Do just what you need to do to accomplish your goals, and don't overcomplicate things. And remember that the opposite is also true: having a desire you never act on is also resistance! (Though, you'll always find a belief or feeling that backs up how you're acting at any given time…)

To begin creating or manifesting, you don't necessarily have to do anything. You're constantly doing this, as it just is how a human agent works in the world because law of attraction is always in effect. And if you're studying the law, you probably don't need to do much more to begin to deliberately create things in your experience—as you continue to study LOA in pieces, you'll get better and better at the process as a whole.

But if you'd like to work on deliberate creation specifically, there are quite a few processes that are amazingly helpful. The processes I've recommended in other articles and in my email campaigns of mixing time management with LOA for instance. However, I'd like to offer a simple process, one that I do on a daily basis.

The box process is very simple. You imagine a box (any kind you want: mine is a beaten up, bronze chest) that has a phrase inscribed on it, "Everything in this box is". Everyday, spend a little time thinking about your life, your goals, your wants and needs, etc. And decide of the things that you're thinking about what does and doesn't go in the box. Toss things you like in the box, and toss things you don't like away. Just remember, it's in your imagination and there's no stress: simply think of things that you want and put them in the box, and any time you think of things you don't want, push them away, white them out, blow them up, etc. so you no longer think of or see them.

If it's easier for you to do this with tangible objects, feel free to get a real box and cut out pictures of what you want. Though, if you find this helpful, a vision board will do you wonders… so you might just start one of those by saving pictures for a while, then making a collage on a corkboard.

However, if you practice this process in your head, you'll start to see interesting results. And you'll begin to notice that you have the ability to put things into and push things out of your "box" all the time. Once you can do this, then the process is beyond helpful. Have you ever noticed that people have "a box" that they live in and it's hard to get them out of? At this point, you've created your own "box" and live merrily in it and very likely the world just follows you in this construction of who you are…
