Are you a collector? How did you decide to start collecting whatever it is that you collect? If you are a bird lover, a garden lover or just love looking at detail and variety, you might consider becoming a birdhouse collector.
There is a birdhouse for everyone and a memory for every birdhouse.
Just like a collection of spoons will evoke memories of places you've visited.
A collection of birdhouses may bring to mind a fond memory related to the detail and theme of each unique birdhouse.
My themed birdhouses remind me.
oThe Train Station Birdhouse - Reminded me of a field trip I took on a train as an eight year.
oThe Lifeguard Station Birdhouse -Reminded me of being a lifeguard when I was going to college.
oThe Wagon Wheel Restaurant Birdhouse - Reminded me of a house I used to live in that was decorated with antique wagon wheels.
oThe Tree House Birdhouse - Reminded me of an old tree hut I used to play in as a child.
oThe Yatch Club Birdhouse - Reminded me of a cruise I took when I was a young adult and we were invited to tour a yacht that was anchored at the dock in Florida before we departed.
oThe Moose Lodge Birdhouse - Reminded me of a family trip to Yellowstone and we stopped by the side of the road to see a moose and it charged my dad.
oThe Gone Fishing Lodge Birdhouse - Reminded me of the first time I caught a slimy fish! It was exciting! oThe Bass Lake Lodge Birdhouse - Reminded me of family trips to Lake Powell and some of the men would go fishing hoping to catch bass.
Usually they just catch catfish.
If you like to watch birds, collecting birdhouses and placing them in your garden can be a big attraction for aviary activity.
You'll need to find out a few things first: oWhat type of birds live in your area oWhat type of wood or material does your birdhouse need to be made of oHow big does the hole for your birdhouse need to be oHow high should you place your birdhouse oWhat type of predators do you need to guard against Of course, if you are a going to invite all those birds to your yard you'll need to have some bird feeders and a birdbath.
Then you'll be set to enjoy hours of bird watching and memory reflection.
