Yogurt, milk and buttermilk are good natural cleansers for acne. All three products contain lactic acid, which exfoliates the skin by sloughing off the top layer.

Health 911.com reports that these natural substances are good for exfoliating the skin, deep cleaning the pores and removing excess oil from the skin.

The Mayo Clinic says there is medical evidence that tea tree oil is effective in curing pimples and other acne breakouts, but that treatment with tea tree oil may take longer than other acne remedies, such as benzoyl peroxide. Some people may also have a mild skin irritation from the tea tree oil.
