How to Install Sirius Satellite in a 2005 Scion xB
- 1). Find a good spot on your 2005 Scion xB on which to connect the Sirius receiver. In the box with the receiver you will find 2 adhesive strips that have plastic tabs that peel off on each side. Take these adhesives and glue the Sirius receiver to an appropriate spot. You may also attach the receiver to your windshield. Do not place the unit in any area that could possibly block your vision or prevent a full range of motion while driving.
- 2). Get to the roof of your Scion xB by using a stool or ladder and choose a good area to install the satellite antenna. You must place the antenna with a fully clear view of the sky in order for the unit to contact the satellite. The antenna comes with a pair of adhesive stickers on the bottom of the unit. Remove both of these stickers and adhere the antenna to the chosen spot.
- 3). Connect the audio connector cable to the area behind the antenna and pull one end of the cord to the passenger side of the xB. Install the cord underneath the tan window molding. Make your way towards the front end of the xB and pull the cord towards the Sirius Receiver while keeping the cord tight. Connect the cord to the back of the Sirius receiver and use tape to attach it to the molding.
