    Necklace or Bracelet

    • 1). Color the macaroni. Mix 2 to 3 tbsp. of rubbing alcohol with a few drops of liquid food coloring. Place 1 cup of uncooked macaroni in a plastic bag and add the colored alcohol mixture. Mix so that the liquid covers all the macaroni. Allow it to soak for two minutes before removing the macaroni from the bag and placing it on paper towels to dry. Repeat this step using different food colorings to produce different colored macaroni.

    • 2). Cut enough cord length to make either a necklace or a bracelet. String one piece of macaroni through the cord and make a knot at one end, as to prevent this piece of pasta from sliding off.

    • 3). String the rest of the macaroni on to the cord. Leave a few inches so you can tie the necklace or bracelet off when you are finished.

    • 4). Tie the ends of the string together. Decorate your necklace or bracelet with glitter or marker pens, if you wish.

    Hair Barrettes

    • 1). Mix 2 to 3 tbsp. of rubbing alcohol with a few drops of liquid food coloring. Pour 1 cup of uncooked macaroni into a plastic bag and add the colored alcohol mixture. Mix until the macaroni is covered in the liquid. After soaking for two minutes, remove macaroni and allow it to dry on paper towels.

    • 2). Hot glue your macaroni on to a plain hair grip to secure the pasta in place.

    • 3). Decorate your hair barrette with glitter or marker pens, or by gluing gems and rhinestones to the pasta. Allow to dry before use.

    Earrings

    • 1). Dip some macaroni into a dish of acrylic paint, making sure to cover all the pasta. You will need two pieces of pasta for each set of earrings.

    • 2). Take a small length of jewelry wire that is suitable for use in the ears. Make a hole at the top of your macaroni and thread the wire through.

    • 3). Twist together either end of the wire to keep it from coming undone. Shape one end of the wire into a loop that you can slide into your ear hole. Finally, use an earring back to secure the pasta in place when wearing.
