Go International, But Be Wary of Roaming

    • The Blackberry 8830 was one of the first smartphones with the ability to support dual-network connectivity. The phone connects to both CDMA and GSA networks, allowing it to operate on international networks where most U.S. phones are incapable of connecting. But be careful--international connectivity isn't free. Unless your plan has international data and voice built in, expect to pay a hefty premium for roaming outside your home borders.

    Sync All Your Email Accounts

    • There's no reason to only get your business email on the go. The Blackberry 8830 includes the ability to add up to 10 separate email accounts, constantly monitoring each for new messages. The phone's operating system comes with a built-in email setup wizard that makes adding common email accounts like Gmail a cinch.

    Breeze Through Email

    • The Blackberry 8830 includes some keyboard shortcuts that make reading email a faster experience. To quickly scroll to the top or bottom of a message, hit the "T" and "B" key. To reply to a message, hit "R." To forward a message, hit "F."

    Speed Up Your Organization

    • The Blackberry 8830 calendar application includes some handy keyboard shortcuts to help you save time. To move to the next day, hit the Blackberry's "Space" key. To move to a previous day, hold "Shift" and hit "Space." To search for a personal contact, simply begin typing the name and the Blackberry automatically opens a search dialogue.
