The lip colors are mainly sheer with the exception of a trio of PureMoist lipsticks called Lucy, Theresa and Margi - a vibrant bubble gum pink, any-complexion-compatible plum and a bright magenta. The remaining dozen colors include a mix of delicate pinks, a subtle coral shade and a few that merely offer a bit of transparent glimmer. Eyes for Every Occasion

The 15 eye shadows offer versatile combinations which are particularly flattering on women with cool, fair complexions. A pair of shimmering pearl shades, Oyster and Wink, hardly differ both in the compact and once applied.

Either one is ideal when used as a highlighting color for your brow bone, just beneath the eyebrow.

Hush and Rose Gold are neutral gilded tones that work well as base colors for stronger shades. Apply with a fluffy brush for a wash of radiance from your lash line to your brow. Dreamy Pink blends bronze with pink and is perfect as a delicate daytime accent color when applied in the crease of your eyelid. It's a beautiful base color for darker skin tones, too.

Platinum has a subtle lavender tint and is actually pretty invisible on fair skin, but if you have a darker skin tone it would probably look better on you than it did on me.

For ladies who like to dress their eyes up in neutral browns, you'll find a quad of earthen colors that'll make you swoon: Cappuccino - a taupe tone, Supernova - a shimmering champagne, Merlot - a brown-berry blend and a dark chocolate brown called Double Espresso.

Five eye shadows are ideal for injecting some drama and fun into your look, no matter your skin tone: Magic - an opaque teal, Caribbean - a pearlescent turquoise green, Violet Eyes - a shimmering lilac shade, Blue Hour - a charcoal infused with silver glitter and an electric tangerine called Red Carpet.

In a Nutshell

Aside from its compact size and portability I really liked this kit because it enables you to change your look frequently without occupying a lot of space in your makeup bag or providing more product than you can use before its expiration date. A handful of eye shadows in the set can be applied with a slanted brush and double as eyeliner, just add mascara, your favorite Jane Iredale foundation and a little blush for a finished look.

Best of all, this botanically-enriched product won't irritate your eyes or give your skin an unwanted dose of unhealthy ingredients.
