How To Live A Pain Free Life At Work

A majority of our workers work and live with acute or chronic pain.
In fact, the majority of workers are experiencing not just pain but depression, anxiety disorders, frustration, burnout, anger, exhaustion, and other physical maladies.
Are you or any of your family or friends experiencing any of the above? If so, this article can help you manage and sometimes eliminate the above symptoms.
The first thing we must do is become aware we have a problem.
This problem may be overwork, an unbalanced work/life, working at the wrong type of job, or not creating the results we want in the job we enjoy.
The simple exercise I will describe in this article will help you decrease the amount of pain or distress you're having.
As previously stated, the first thing you must do is become aware you have a problem.
Awareness and attention are the keys to this exercise.
When you know exactly what the problem is it will become much easier to find a solution.
We must realize that at some point in your mind and heart you are resisting this solution otherwise you would not have the problem anymore.
Therefore, what you must then do is become aware of what this resistance is.
Usually this resistance is a feeling or belief of some sort that is simmering right below your conscious awareness.
An easy way to get to this resistance is to use a simple method of self hypnosis which takes all of 5 or 10 minutes.
Could hypnosis really solve your problem of pain or other malady? I know it does! Whether you believe hypnosis works or not, would you rather continue to have pain or other physical symptoms and take drugs or get surgery? Both avenues are costly, but self hypnosis for 10 minutes a day is free and positively beneficial.
Now, find a quiet and comfortable place.
Sit in a chair that will not impede your circulation or keep you in pain.
Get comfortable and close your eyes.
Once you are ready to go this is what you do.
Relax the body by focusing gently on your breathing.
If it is hard to breathe because of the pain just let that happen.
Your body will start to relax on its own.
After a few minutes and perhaps up to the 10 minute limit I talked about, you will find your body starting to relax.
Once you are relaxed ask yourself why you have this problem.
Let any images or impressions or thoughts come up as they may.
Let them come in and do not judge them.
Stay with these images until you feel ready to come of hypnosis.
That is, once you feel you have found your resistance to your pain you can open your eyes.
After this exercise, take a piece of paper and write down your thoughts on what just happened.
Usually, these images are the body's way of letting you know why you have this problem and what you can do about it.
Since this exercise takes practice, it is important to do this at least once a day until your pain or other physical problem clears up.
And even if you just do the relaxation portion of the exercise, you will find yourself letting go of the pain or physical malady easier.
