I know it is hard to ignore the things or people that make us angry, but we also need to learn how to ignore and how to control our temper. We all know that if we get angry or if we lose our temper it will not solve anything, it will just make the situation worse. You might even hurt or say something terrible to someone if you are mad, you don't want that to happen right? Here are some ways to control your anger and to keep you calm as well.

  1. Try to say nothing when you are angry or annoyed. Believe it or not, anger can control our actions and words, the strong emotions will burst and the unpleasant words will just keep on flowing until you calm down. You don't want that to happen because you might hurt someone's feelings, you might agitate the situation or you can even embarrass yourself after. Try not to say something when you are mad, you can just walk away or ignore them.
  2. Show no concern to those who make you angry. There are people in our lives who get along your way and he or she will find a way to make us angry. The best tip that I can give you is to ignore them or show no interest. Distance yourself from those people or things. I know it's hard to do, but it is for your own good too. If you will show them that you are affected or you are concerned, they will just rub your wounds with salt until you break out or lose it.
  3. Always keep in mind that "anger will not solve anything", this will help you stay away from being angry. This mentality will even help you to avoid saying unnecessary words.
  4. It is okay to express your feelings, but keep in mind that anger will just ruin peace of mind. Learn how to control yourself and your feelings.
  5. Focus on something that will make you happy, try to divert your attention to other things, things that will make you happy or things that will make you forget about your problems. Just ignore stuff that makes your angry. For example, you enjoy playing music, it might help you forget your worries, so try to play some music and enjoy it.
  6. Practice meditation. We all know that meditation helps in clearing our minds. If you will practice meditation it will bring you peace and your inner peace. It will calm your mind and it will help you face everyday life.
  7. Breathe. Proper breathing or breathing deeply is one of the effective ways to get rid of anger, so if you're angry don't forget to breathe deeply and think over the things that will happen.
  8. Try to smile. This is an effective way on taking away negative vibes and emotions.

These are the thing that we should do to avoid hurting someone or saying something bad. Anger will not solve anything, so instead of wasting your time complaining why not find a way to resolve the problem.
