How to Make a Jester Hat Out of Craft Foam
Follow these directions and learn how to make a jester hat using craft foam.
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
Start out by making a headband using craft foam.
The headband should be about 2" wide and long enough to fit around your head with a 1" overlap. Cut six triangles, each about 2" wide by 10" long, out of craft foam. You can match the color of your craft foam headband or choose a contrasting color. When making a jester cap I think it is fun to make each triangle a different, bright color.
Glue the bottom edge of each triangle, evenly spaced, along the top edge of the headband. These triangles will flop over the outside of the headband. To add a finishing touch, glue a jingle bell onto the tip of each triangle.
- Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
