How to Connect Your U-Verse Motorola DVR Set-Top Box to a New TV
- 1). Turn off the TV. Unplug the TV's power cord from the electrical outlet. This measures are taken to prevent accidental electric shock while connecting the cables.
- 2). Insert one end of a coaxial cable into the cable wall outlet installed by the U-Verse installer. Twist the screw-on connector at the end of the cable clockwise until it is secured, finger-tight, to the port.
- 3). Connect the other end of the cable to the RF "Video In" port on the back of the Motorola DVR.
- 1). Insert one end of an HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the back of the Motorola DVR.
- 2). Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the TV set.
- 3). Reconnect the TV to its power source. Plug the Motorola DVR's power cord into an electrical outlet.
- 4). Continuously press the "Input" button on the TV remote control until the TV's video input channel is set to the HDMI source.
- 1). Insert one end of each AV cable into its corresponding AV output jack on the back of the Motorola DVR. The three AV jacks are labeled "Video Out," "Audio Out L" and "Audio Out R." They are also color-coded yellow, white, and red, respectively. The plugs on the end of the AV cables are also color-coded yellow, white, and red. Each AV plug inserts into the AV jack corresponding to the plug's color.
- 2). Plug the other end of each AV cable into its corresponding AV input jack on the TV set.
- 3). Reconnect the TV to its power source. Plug the Motorola DVR's power cord into an electrical outlet.
- 4). Continuously press the "Input" button on the TV remote control, until the TV's video input channel is set to the proper AV source.
