How to Download an App From iTunes
- 1). Turn on your computer and launch iTunes. Click on "iTunes Store" in the left navigation panel.
- 2). Click "App Store" in the menu bar at the top of the main iTunes window. Select "iPhone" or "iPad" by clicking on the buttons at the top of the window.
- 3). Browse the apps in the featured area at the top of the screen, the "New and Noteworthy" section and the "What's Hot" section of recommendations. View the "Top 10 Paid Apps" and the "Top 10 Free Apps" on the right side of the screen. If you know the name of the app you seek, type it in the search box in the upper right corner of the screen to go straight to it.
- 4). Click the name or icon of any app that interests you. Read the information about the app and view screen shots. Read the reviews and see the ratings of users who have downloaded and tried the app.
- 5). Click the button containing the price or the words "Free App" to begin the download process to your computer. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.
- 6). Connect your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to the computer using the USB connection cable that came with the device. If the mobile device doesn't sync automatically, select its name from the "Devices" section in the left panel of iTunes and click "Sync" in the lower right corner to transfer the app.
