    • 1). Disassemble your pistol and separate the grip from the other components.

    • 2). Measure off the amount of the grip that you wish to remove and scratch a straight line across the grip with your scribe. Repeat the process on the other side of the grip.

    • 3). Place your grip in a padded bench vise; the padding can be cloth, foam or even cardboard. The padding is to protect the surface of your grip during the reduction. Position your grip to be easily accessible.

    • 4). Use your hacksaw with the PVC blade and meticulously begin to cut along the lines on both sides of the grip. Concentrating on only one side can result in the lopsided cut; monitor both sides for an even cut

    • 5). Smooth out the ends of the reduced grip with fine grit sandpaper. Remove the grip from the vise and reassemble your pistol.
