Ingredients
- 2 pounds/900 g flank steak
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo, plus 1 tablespoon/15 mL of adobo sauce
- juice of 1 lime
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons/30 mL tequila
- 1 tablespoon/15 mL olive oil
- 2 teaspoons/10 mL salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons/7.5 cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon/5 mL dried oregano

- Cook Time: 12 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes

Preparation
Place flank steak in shallow glass dish or in resealable plastic bag. In food processor, add remaining ingredients and pulse to a paste-like consistency. Pour over flank steak, making sure all sides are coated cover dish or seal bag and place into refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Place steak on grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side. Brush remaining marinade onto steak during the first half of cooking.
Once cooked, remove from heat, allow to rest for 3-5 minutes, then slice across the grain and serve.
