How to Build a PVC Pipe Outdoor Archway

    • 1). Cut out five pieces of 1/2-inch PVC pipe: two 10-feet long, two 2 1/2-feet long and one 1 1/2-feet long.

    • 2). Dig two holes five feet apart, each a little over two feet deep. Fill in the bottom of the holes with some rocks and place a 10-foot long section of PVC pipe in the center of each.

    • 3). Fill in each hole with quick-drying cement, ensuring it is spread evenly around the PVC pipe. Use a leveler to ensure both pipes are straight.

    • 4). Attach PVC pipe joints to each end of the 2 1/2-foot pipes. Connect the joints using the 1 1/2-foot piece of pipe.

    • 5). Connect the three connected pieces of pipe with the other joint ends to the two pipes that are cemented in the ground.
