My Orange Trees Won't Grow Bigger
- Orange trees only grow to a certain size, regardless of how long they live. Orange trees average between 25 and 50 feet in height, with a rounded crown of about the same width.
- Orange trees that aren't growing my be prohibited by their location. If there's not enough room to grow up or out any farther, an orange tree will restrict its own growth. If the orange tree is growing in a pot that's too small, it will become root bound and stop growing.
- Orange trees that don't receive the right nutrition may halt their growth for a lack of resources. Orange trees should be planted in quick-draining soil with a generous mixture of organic compost, receive at least 2 inches of water every day and have adequate sun exposure. Oranges that don't get full sun all day every day may fail and stop growing.
