DIY Beaded String Bookmark
- 1). Attach the beading needle to the silk thread. Put a charm on one end of the string. Attach a crimp bead afterward. Make another loop through the charm and the crimp bead. This will make a knot around the beads. Use the needle-nose pliers to smash the crimp bead.
- 2). String the beading needle to the other side of the silk thread. Add several beads to the string -- they should go toward the side of the charm. Make sure that when you place the bookmark back into the book, the beads are not touching the pages. Add another crimp bead after the string of beads. Place it tight over the beads, and smash it again with the pliers.
- 3). String a crimp bead to where you want to start beading at the top of the bookmark. The beads should not be inside the book. Smash the crimp bead with the pliers, and string more beads after the crimp bead.
- 4). Place the last crimp bead onto the string. Create another loop with the needle just as you did in Step 1. Pass it through the last crimp bead, and smash it with the needle-nose pliers. Cut off any excess string.
