How to Remove ActiveX on Vista
- 1). Open an Internet Explorer browser window.
- 2). Click the "Tools" button near the top-right corner of the screen and select "Internet Options."
- 3). Select the "Programs" tab, then click the "Manage add-ons" button.
- 4). Click the drop-down menu labeled "Show" and select the "Downloaded controls" option to view the ActiveX controls you have installed.
- 5). Right-click the ActiveX control you want to delete and select "Enable" if the option is available. If the option does not appear, do nothing and continue on to the next step.
- 6). Right-click the ActiveX control you want to delete and select the "More Information" option.
- 7). Click the "Remove" button in the resulting dialog box. Provide your administrator password or confirm your choice if prompted by Windows.
