How to Install Digital Locks on Satellite Receivers
- 1). Press the menu button on your remote control to access the Roller Guide menu. Scan through the options with the Up and Down arrows to highlight the Lock menu. Press the "Action" button.
- 2). Push the Right arrow button to highlight the "Password" option. Enter and confirm a four-digit locking code. Pick one that is easy to remember, but not easy to guess, and record it somewhere safe.
- 3). Use the Up and Down arrows to navigate the Lock menu to the "Movie Limits" option. Press the Right arrow button to show the Submenu, and then the Up and Down buttons to lock out the movie ratings you do not want your children watching. They are listed by the MPAA rating system, which is the same as in movie theaters and on video.
- 4). Navigate back to the Lock menu using the Left arrow button and scan the menu options with the Up and Down arrow buttons to find the "TV Limits" option. Select it with the Right arrow. Navigate between TV ratings with the Up and Down arrows and select the "Action" button to activate or deactivate the locks on them. Go back to the Lock menu.
- 5). Select "CH Locks" from the Lock menu and push the Right arrow button. Use all of the arrow buttons to choose which channels to lock and which to allow. Green channels are available. Red channels are locked. Black channels are unavailable.
- 1). Press the "Menu" button on the remote and choose the option that says "Locks." Select the option for channel locks and put check marks on every channel you want to block. Save your choices.
- 2). Choose the "Lock System" option in the menu and create a four-digit password. Decide on one that is easy to remember, but hard to guess. If you forget it, call customer service to have the password erased and reset your locks.
- 3). Select the "Ratings Locks" and highlight the lowest rating restriction you want blocked. If you want the extended ratings blocked, choose that option from the Ratings Locks menu. Choose "Done."
