    • 1). Turn off the valves to the water going to the kitchen sink from beneath the sink. Disconnect the water pipes going to the sink using a wrench. Unscrew the sink drain with the wrench. Push the sink up from the bottom with your hands. Pull the sink out of the top of the metal counter surface with your hands and place it aside.

    • 2). Place the back edge of the countertop to be installed against the back wall -- line up the hole in the countertop with that of the space where the sink will be reinstalled. Place a spirit level on the countertop and move it across the length to ensure that the countertop material is level -- if not, place pieces of cardboard beneath the countertop where necessary to level it.

    • 3). Draw a line with the pencil on the wall against the back edge of the countertop. Move the countertop away from the wall. Sand the wall along the pencil line with the belt sander to level the wall so it will be even with the back edge of the countertop. Wipe the dust away with a water moistened paper towel. Dry the surface with a dry paper towel.

    • 4). Apply adhesive on one side of the miter wood frame that was purchased with the same dimensions as that of the countertop. Place the miter wood frame on the surface where the countertop will be placed. Apply adhesive to the miter wood frame. Place the countertop on top of the frame with the back edge lined up against the wall. Let the adhesive set overnight. Screw through the metal surface of the counter from below and into the miter wood frame -- wood screws will perform best using a power screwdriver rather than a hand-held screwdriver.

    • 5). Place the sink into the cutout in the countertop so that it is in the same position as it was earlier -- align the sink in the cutout using the clips in the sink's side. Reattach the drain, reconnect the water pipes and turn the water back on.
