How to Make Ringtones for the LG 9100
- 1). Launch your audio editor program by either locating it in your programs list or double-clicking of an icon of it you have on your desktop (if you have a desktop shortcut to it). (See Resources for free audio editor programs if you don't already have one.) Click "Open" and then locate the audio file of which you want to make a ringtone for your LG 9100 and double-click on it for it to open within the audio editor and be displayed as a sound image in a series of sound waves.
- 2). Mark the section of the audio file that you want to play as your ringtone by clicking on the image to set the beginning and ending markers around what you want to be your ringtone. Click on the "Play Selected Section" button to preview your selection and adjust according by re-clicking to reset a marker until you are satisfied with the ringtone you have created.
- 3). Click on the "Save Selection As" button to save the selection as your ringtone. Name the file and then navigate to your email account, where you select the option to create a new email message.
- 4). Address your new email message to your LG 9100's 10-digit Verizon Wireless cell phone number followed by Verizon Wireless' picture text messaging extension (e.g. xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com). Attach your ringtone to the email message by clicking attach and then selecting your ringtone from computer. Once the ringtone is attached, click "Send" to send it to your LG 9100 as a picture text message.
- 5). Go to your LG 9100 and open it. Click on "View" (the "OK" button) to view your new picture text message. Press the right soft key for "Options" and then scroll to and click "OK" on "Save as Ringtone." The ringtone you created is now saved on your LG 9100 and can be located in your "Ringtones" list.
