How to Apply a Compression Wrap for a Shoulder
- 1). Place the end of an elastic bandage just below the point of injury on the shoulder. Leave the bandage rolled for now, and unroll it as needed while wrapping it around your injury.
- 2). Hold the end of the bandage in place, and wrap the bandage around the back of the arm once and over the end of the bandage to hold it in place.
- 3). Wrap the bandage across your back and under the opposite arm. Bring the bandage across your chest and over the injured shoulder, wrapping across the point of injury. Continue wrapping in this manner until you have reached the end of the bandage.
- 4). Attach one end of the bandage fastener to the very end of the bandage. Pull the fastener slightly, stretching the bandage. Then, attach the other end of the bandage fastener to an underlying layer of bandage, securing it in place.
