How to Hang Curtain Sheers With a Valance
- 1). Measure the window and choose sheers and a valance that will fit and complement the window.
- 2). First the bracket must be securely mounted. Take time to ascertain where the curtains should be hung so that they hang as desired. Make small marks on the wall when the bracket position is determined.
Use the drill to mount the bracket. If the bracket is to be mounted into drywall, special drywall anchors are recommended to prevent the bracket from being pulled out of the wall from the weight of the curtains. If the bracket is to be mounted into wood, no special anchors are necessary. - 3). There are two rods. The smaller, narrower rod is for the sheers and the larger, wider rod is for the valance. The sheer rod will be hung on the inside bracket and the valance rod will be hung on the outside bracket.
Place the sheers on the sheer rod and attach this rod to the inside bracket. Place the valance on the valance rod and attach this rod to the outside bracket.
