How to Manage an iPod Device
- 1). Attach the USB cable to the port located at the bottom of your iPod. Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- 2). Open the iTunes program on your computer.
- 3). Select your iPod from the list of devices on the left of the iTunes window.
- 4). Select the tab that corresponds to the type of media you want to add or remove from your iPod. Available tabs might include music, applications, movies, TV shows, books and photos.
- 5). Select the files you want to add or remove from your iPod. To select files, place a check to the left of the file's name. To remove files, remove the check located to the left of the file's name.
- 6). Click the "Sync" button to add or remove content from your iPod. When the process is complete, iTunes will prompt you that it is safe to remove the USB cable from your iPod.
