Corporate Life is Dangerous to Your Wealth
I live in a country where there is massive unemployment and also massive poverty and it always amazes me to see both.
Since I was 16 years old I have been working in some form or another and other than the two occasions when I went bankrupt I have always been making some money somehow.
I actually think it is quite easy to start making money.
We live in a society where normal bodied people with everyday circumstances (not the starving in Africa for example) with even lower than average abilities can make money.
With a little hard work and some creative thinking we can do almost anything we want.
When I left school I borrowed a ladder from my neighbour, got a bucket and a cloth and started cleaning windows of the houses in the same street as me.
A few houses and a few hours later, I had about 45 dollars.
Not bad at 16! In fact I was earning more than virtually all my school friends who had got jobs after leaving school and I could work what hours I wanted.
That was the start of my entrepreneurial streak.
Now I have had moments of employment, but generally I don't like it too much, but it was good corporate training and at least I learned what I don't like.
Yesterday I had a meeting with one of the bigger supermarket companies here and while I was waiting I saw about 4 or 500 young applicants looking for work.
apparently it was the same every day.
After the celebration of getting there diplomas and years of studying, they were welcomed to corporate life with almost zero recognition and mass rejection.
How sad for them.
I saw many faces with hope and they looked very smart and well groomed and it made me sad to see the look of desperation as they looked at anyone who looked like authority with an over keen smile and gush.
It made me wonder what has happened to entrepreneurship and self creative support.
I am sure that many of these youngster were capable of working for themselves but they just lack the fire, spark and passion.
So back to the title...
how to make more money.
Well other than about 1% of all employees you will not get wealthy in the corporate world, but rather probably live a live of debt and boredom.
On the other side about 75% of all self-made millionaires made their money through entrepreneurism.
I know which odds I prefer! And they say having a job is safer! Not according to statistics.
So in my humble opinion there are three things you can to make more money; 1) Venture into entrepreneurism; 2) Start 3) Don't give in You will need to start to get results that much must be obvious.
You will need to do something different in order to get different results.
If you have worked in corporate world for the last few years and you want to get different results, then you will need to look at working for yourself.
One you start and this is where most people go wrong, you will need to keep going.
So many people think that they will get immediate results and wealth to go with it, but you almost certainly wont.
It will take weeks or months if not years to get the success you want.
Never ever give up on the road to success.
Part of the success comes from analyzing what you are doing, see what results you get and shift accordingly.
Finding out what works and what doesn't work is really important.
It takes time, but it is worth it in the end.
At least I think so despite going bankrupt twice!
