Measure the distance from the current TV to the second one to determine the length of coaxial cable required to connect the two sets.

    • 2). Purchase a cable TV splitter and two lengths of coaxial cable, one for the original TV and one for the other TV. One of the cables can be short (around 6 feet). The second should be the distance measured in step one.

    • 3). Remove the existing coaxial cable hook up from the back of the first TV. Connect this coaxial cable to the "Input" section of the splitter. The input is clearly marked. The coaxial cable will not need to be stripped or spliced as it will have the necessary connectors already in place when purchased from the store.

    • 4). Connect the first length of coaxial cable to one of the splitter's output ports. Connect the other end of this cable to the original TV. The output port will be clearly labeled and may say "Connect to TV" or something similar.

    • 5). Connect the second length of coaxial cable to the second port on the splitter. Run this cable to the second television. You will have enough cable since it was measured out beforehand. Connect the cable to the coaxial input on the new TV. Now both televisions share the same cable input feed. Test each TV to make sure that they are both working.
