    Color

    • Colors are added to your text by naming the color in the chat box before typing followed by a colon. The available colors, according to the RuneScape website, include red, yellow, green, cyan, purple and white. So, if you want to say "hi" to someone in the game and have the text be yellow, you would type: "yellow:hi" in the text box.

    Flash

    • Along with solid colors, you can also make your text appear as though it is flashing. The flashing options in the game include flashing between red and yellow (flash1), flashing between cyan and blue (flash2) and flashing between light and dark green (flash3). In order to make text flash, type in the command, colon and what you want to say. So, to say "hi" with the text flashing between cyan and blue, you would type: "Flash2:hi" in the text box.

    Glow

    • Text can also appear as though it is glowing. When the text glows, it goes through an entire series of colors. There are three glow options. The first fades between red, orange, yellow, green and cyan. The second glow effect fades between red, magenta, blue and dark red. The third glow option fades between white, green, white and cyan. In order to glow "hi" to someone in the game, type: "Glow2:hi" in the text box.

    Motion

    • There are five motion animations you can do with your text box. You can do two different waves (up and down, and diagonally), shake, slide and scroll the text. So, if you want to scroll a "hi" to someone in the game, type: "Scroll:hi" in the text box.
