For example, if you are talking about your research findings and have written an academic paper about it during your PowerPoint presentation, make sure that you condense this information. Separate information out with bullet points in a logical order.
- 4). Use graphics like photos and clip art in addition to your graphs and charts. If your topic is going to be somewhat complicated, you may be better served by creating graphics of the information.
- 5). Tell your story through video. It's possible to link to videos from PowerPoint. If you're doing a presentation about the history of film or need some documentary footage, this is an effective way to go.
- 6). Make use of a laser pointer during your presentation if you have detailed visuals you need to point to. It helps the audience focus on the finer details and understand what you're talking about if the visual has minute points like a scientific schematic or a biological drawing.
