How to Make a Beach Glass Bracelet
- 1). Wrap a piece of string around your wrist to measure your ideal length for a bracelet; it should be loose enough to hang and swing, but tight enough to not pass over your hand and fall off. Mark or trim the string at this length.
- 2). Make wire caps for the pieces of sea glass. Using the cone-nosed pliers, curl the tip of a long piece of wire to form a tight loop. Grip this loop with the needle-nose pliers, covering it completely. Twist the rest of the wire length around the base of this loop a few times (about two or three) to form a flat spiral perpendicular to the loop. Trim the excess wire, then repeat this process to make two caps for each piece of glass.
- 3). Cap each piece of glass. Place a dot of cyanoacrylate adhesive on one end of each piece of glass. Hold it in place for 30 seconds to let the glue set. Repeat on the opposite side of the piece of glass, then do the same to each additional piece. Cap enough pieces to measure up to the length of the string when placed wire-to-wire in a line.
- 4). Let the glue fully harden according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 5). String together the capped glass pieces. Open the wire loops on the caps using needle-nose pliers and thread each loop into the loop of the next piece of glass, then close the wire, forming a chain of glass pieces.
- 6). Attach metal jewelry clasps to either end of the string of glass to finish the bracelet. String the clasps in place by opening and closing the loop links with pliers in the same manner as before.
