How to Clean Shoe Polish From Car Windows
- 1). Pull on the gloves and grasp the razor blade between the forefinger and your thumb. Make sure that you have a good grip, as the gloves can tend to make the blade slip.
- 2). Place the blade at a 15 degree angle with the window, and begin to scrape at the shoe polish gently. This will help remove the majority of the polish without scratching the windows, if done correctly. If you feel tension between the window and the blade, you are likely scratching the glass: Lessen the pressure with which you are pushing the blade.
- 3). Spray on the window cleaner and let sit for about two minutes. Make sure to cover the entire area, or you will have small bits of shoe polish that stay caked to the window and cannot be wiped off.
- 4). Wipe the window cleaner off the windows using the clean cloth or paper towels. You may need to repeat this a few times in order to remove all the small pieces of dried polish.
