How to Install a Canon MP510
- 1). Turn on your computer and insert the CD that came with the printer into the computer after it has booted. Do not connect the printer to the computer yet. Wait for the setup utility to run.
- 2). Click "Easy Install" in the window that appears.
- 3). Click "Install" in the next window.
- 4). Click "Yes" to agree to the Canon license agreement. Click OK if, at any point, the installer asks you to restart your computer. Wait for the computer to finish rebooting before continuing. The installer starts again automatically once you have restarted.
- 5). Connect the MP510 printer's USB cable to an empty USB port on the computer and connect the square end to the printer when you see the "Printer Connection" dialog.
- 6). Follow the instructions that appear in the next dialog showing you how to register the printer and click "Next" once finished.
- 7). Click the "Exit" button on the final installation screen. You can now use the MP510 printer.
