How to Prevent Access From Selected Computers on My Network
- 1). Turn on your computer. Wait for the desktop to load. Go to the "Start" menu and click on "Networks". Find "Sharing and Discovery" and click on "Network Discovery". Click "Change Settings" under "Workgroup".
- 2). Select the "User Profiles" tab and select "Settings". Choose the computer for which you wish to restrict access to the network and click "OK". Follow the step-by-step instructions to edit the settings for the computer. Click "Turn off network discovery" for the computer.
- 3). Edit the Internet sharing connections. Return to "Networks" and click on "Manage Network Connections". Right-click on the connection and select "Properties". Choose the "Sharing" tab and click on "Settings". Click the box next to the services that you want to restrict from the computer on the network and click "OK" to apply the settings.
