How to Hook Up Sidecars to Motorcycles
- 1). Slide the U-clamp over the front frame bar and insert the spacer block.
- 2). Screw in the two bolts that hold the U-clamp and the spacer block in place.
- 3). Thread the eyebolt into the hole in the spacer block, then screw it all the way in. The assembly should be held tightly to the frame. If it's at all loose, take the eyebolt out, put the shim over the eyebolt hold, then rethread the eyebolt into place.
- 4). Tighten the other three u-clamps to your bike in the same manner. Different models of bikes will have different frame layouts; meaning that after the initial clamp on the front of the frame, the remaining three will have to be attached at different parts of the frame.
- 5). Back the holding bolts on the front of your sidecar out of their holes, then slide the curved bar underneath. Once the bars in place, tighten the holding bolts back down.
- 6). Tighten down the sliding clamp on the back of the sidecar's frame using its two holding bolts.
- 7). Slide a spacer sleeve onto an eyebolt.
- 8). Thread the eyebolt through the hole in the sliding clamp. Once it's through, you will need to tighten it down using the provided nut.
- 9). Find the eyebolts on your long struts, then take them out.

Tighten down the bolts your removed into the holes on the rear and front of your sidecar's frame. - 11
Position your motorcycle and sidecar by each other, as if you were going to drive away with the sidecar attached. You know you have it positioned properly if the sidecar's wheel is between 8 to 10 inches in front of your motorcycle's rear wheel. - 12
Move the sidecar frame so that the bolts in the front and rear of the sidecar frame, as well as the bolts on the curved bar, thread into the u-clamps you attached to the motorcycle. Once they're in place, tighten the bolts down as tightly as possible.
