How to Remove a Radio in a 2003 Volvo XC90

    • 1). Position the shift knob so it's as close to the rear seat as possible, then use the flat head screwdriver to remove the shifter trim at the base of the shifter. Move it to one side so you can access the screws on the dashboard.

    • 2). Unscrew the two screws at the base of the radio and air conditioner controls using the Phillips head screwdriver. Pull the stereo and climate controls towards you to release the clips that hold it in place, then unplug all of the harnesses from the back of the stereo using your hands.

    • 3). Unscrew the radio from the climate controls using the Phillips head screwdriver. Then remove the stereo from the climate control panel.
