If you are like me, that if you skip meals and get hungry, it is more than likely to choose foods that are not very good for us, such as chips and sugary foods.
If you are not eating at home, take food with you or know where you can buy healthy food from.
When I worked outside my home, I usually took my own food (lean sandwich or salad with low calorie snack) which in the end is healthier and more economical.
Buying out all the time when you are working will put strain in your pockets and more importanly on your health.

Prepare your foods the right way Instead of frying your food, grill them, stir fry, microwave, bake, and even boiling them is good.
You should also try fresh or even dried herbs and spices to add flavor to your food.
There a lot of selection for food seasoning you can get at the supermarket.
Before you eat any type of meat, be sure to trim the fat and skin off of it.

Not too much sugar please Drinks that contain sugar are a major source of empty energy such as flavored sodas.
What this means, is that the drinks contain a lot of energy that your body may not need, and it doesn't contain any vitamins or minerals.
If you plan to drink sugary drinks, don't over do it - limit yourself to 1 a day or have a diet soda drink.
I say lots of water is the best liquid you should have.
I used to not like water too much but once I started drinking more with meals and during the day it became easier to drink water all the time.
Try it -- start with 2 glasses a day then continue to add more amount until you get used to it.
Once you do, you will not go back into drinking sugary sodas or any other drinks that contain a lot of sugar.

Avoid thinking about diets There are no good food nor any bad foods.
All food can be a part of a healthy diet, when eaten in moderation.
You don't need to buy any low carb, fat free, or even diet foods, as these foods normally have lots of other added ingredients to replaces the carbohydrates or fat.
